It's a great place for families, as well as those who enjoy sports, walking, running. All of the walking trails are for pedestrians only, well paved, and are wheelchair accessible. The park is clean and well taken care of.
There are two main walking trails. The inner trail is approximately a mile long, and runs in a circle. There is a long "outer trail", and the number of miles is dependent on which part(s) of the trail that you choose to traverse.

Unfortunately there is no skateboarding allowed on the trails, and due to the shrubbery and limited visibility around bends and slopes, cyclists are strongly encouraged to use the road that runs throughout the park to avoid accidentally hitting pedestrians, children walking with their parents, runners, and dog walkers.

April 1st 2017 was the grand opening of the Splash Pad, which is a great place for adults and children to cool off.
The playground was given a large update in the last year, and has a very special feature: a swing designed specifically for those children who are in a wheelchair.
There is a short nature path designed for children where they can learn about the different creatures found in the area.

For those who enjoy sports there are baseball fields where the local kids teams play, and two kids sized batting cages. Tennis and basketball courts are located in the same area, all of which are lit at night.
A volleyball court can be found across the road, closer to the splash pad.

Multiple picnic shelters are available, and can be reserved for parties or family gatherings. Each one is well lit, and is equipped with picnic tables, a water pump, an electrical outlet, as well as a barbeque grill.

Those who have canine companions have 2 fenced in areas for their dogs to run and play. One is specifically for small dogs. Waste bags and disposal areas are located throughout the park. It's extremely important that you pick up after your pup, or the waste will run off into our creeks that lead to our watersheds and end up as pollutants in our drinking water.

Located at the other end of the park is a pond with ducks, and a bridge that crosses over it. There is also a gazebo, and grassy areas for those who like to picnic.
A section of of the walking trail that runs by the pond has been set up for those who want to strengthen their muscles, or learn how to walk a beam. Instructions on how to perform the exercises are posted at each platform.

Festivals are held at the park during the spring. The Earth Day festival is very popular and continues to grow each year. Other activities run throughout the year.
